The Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) was established in 2015 to oversee the largest rail infrastructure project in Victoria’s history, including the elimination of 75 dangerous and congested level crossings across Melbourne. To date, 29 level crossings have been removed, 18 train stations have been rebuilt, new track has been laid, and three level crossing removals are now in construction. To continue this challenging work, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Environmental Management Systems Adviser to join the Planning and Approvals team.

An exceptional opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experienced Environmental Management Systems (EMS) Adviser to join one of the largest infrastructure projects in Victoria's history.
Reporting to the Environmental Performance Specialist, the EMS Adviser will be responsible for the development, maintenance and improvement of the LXRP Environmental Management System.
In this role, you will facilitate and coordinate:
- Incident investigations
- Inspections and audits
- Monitoring programs
- Development of management system policy and procedures
- Capture and reporting of environmental risks
- Review of contractor work scopes and documentation (e.g. Environmental Management Plans)
In addition, you will also provide expertise, leadership and support on environmental management issues, including issues effecting the delivery of works.
Key to your application will be your experience working on major civil construction projects, preferably in a Victorian context and experience in developing Environmental Management Systems (AS/NZS ISO 14001:2016).
Your strong ability to influence and negotiate at all appropriate levelswill also ensure your success in this critical role.
