The opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Manager Evolving Technical Process.

About You

As the Senior Manager Evolving Technical Process you are responsible for leading and managing a technical analysis team to deliver process development and integration strategy, including process optimisation, implementation and improved business efficiencies across evolving transport frameworks and solutions to achieve value driven operational workflows and outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and promote a comprehensive analysis of division systems, processes, procedures and values to deliver on time, on budget, efficient operational business outcomes.
  • Drive, in collaboration with the development teams, strategic new and improved process designs and solutions, which incorporate design assurance, build technical core competencies and capabilities and translate business operational requirements into robust business cases to support the scaling and delivery of multi modal projects.
  • Promote and develop collaborative relationships with client divisions, operating agencies and multifunctional teams to identify and apply best practice process methodology to optimise performance objectives and operational results.
  • Develop and establish, in consultation with delivery teams, efficiencies and improvements to models, workflows, schedules, resources and budgets including agreed procedural documents and regular reporting mechanisms, to successfully deliver required business outcomes.
  • Champion and lead culture change across teams to realise the benefits and value in adapting and adopting new business methods and approaches to deliver consistent value to business outcomes.
  • Establish controls to monitor and evaluate performance outcomes and resolve risk and change issues by applying proven governance and risk management strategies.
  • Demonstrate the Transport Connected Leadership dimensions by role modelling collegiate and collaborative behaviours to achieve the greater good for the community, celebrate our diverse workforce, create an environment where people can create and thrive, and support our people’s wellbeing.

Key knowledge and experience

To be successful in this role the following experience and knowledge is essential.

  • Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management to navigate government processes and apply best practice industry standards to drive performance in complex, politically and commercially sensitive business environment.
  • Experience in leading and motivating specialised performance teams to engage with diverse multifunctional stakeholders to deliver improvements and changes.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, with extensive knowledge and experience in engineering, management systems and/or related fields.
