Management Accountant - 6-month fixed term contract

Work Location: Fortescue Perth Head Office and Port Hedland Operations

Roster: 5 days on 2 days off, 4 days on 3 days off

Fortescue is seeking a Management Accountant to join a fast paced, dynamic working environment in a position that will offer the successful candidate exposure across its Port and Rail Operations.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Leading the end of month process and undertaking comprehensive analysis to support multiple business units
  • Working closely with key stakeholders at all levels to provide financial insight critical to decision-making
  • Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for Operating and Capital Expenditure
  • Responsibility for accuracy, transparency, and comprehensive analysis of departmental costs
  • Developing and maintaining systems, processes, and data - financial & operational
  • Identification of cost saving opportunities and efficiency improvements through in depth understanding of key business drivers
  • Leading adhoc business improvement projects as required

Qualifications and skills required:

  • 4+ years of management accounting experience
  • CA/CPA/CIMA qualification
  • Detailed working knowledge of MS Excel and SAP
  • Strong analytical & engagement skills
  • Self-motivated & proactive
  • Confident interpersonal style and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation
  • Experience within the resources sector
