Lycopodium Infrastructure is an Australian headquartered consultancy offering asset management, engineering, architectural and project delivery services to a wide range of private and public clients nationally and internationally. Our services are delivered across a number of industry sectors including government, transport, energy, utilities, property, buildings, resources infrastructure, defence and agriculture.

We are currently recruiting for a full time Project Manager to join our Project Services division. This position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with Company and Client strategy, commitments and goals.

Reporting to the Project Services Lead, this position will involve, but not be limited to, the following deliverables:

  • Managing the overall schedules, budgets and target deliverables to a consistently high standard to ensure that project deliverables are met.
  • Establishing and managing the project implementation approaches and project controls, aligned with Company procedures, throughout the project.
  • Developing and maintaining the various project specific procedures, work practices, plans and protocols to enable the project team to work efficiently and consistently to a high standard of work.
  • Monitoring Project performance including costs, progress against schedule, safety, and internal reviews to provide a transparent assessment of critical performances.
  • Evaluating project progress to ensure that it is meeting budgetary and deadline objectives, recognising progress concerns and reporting immediately to the relevant internal and Client personnel.
  • Managing all project activities in a manner that achieves high standards for safety, environment, community and industrial relations.

You Will Have
  • Qualification in Project Management or equivalent;
  • 5 years’ experience in the rail industry, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • High attention to detail and exceptional knowledge and awareness of project implementation, constructability, OH&S, environmental, community and industrial relations issues;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a practical approach to solving problems;
  • Capacity to evaluate work practices, implement systems and suggest alternatives and refinements where necessary;
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve consistently high standards within both budgetary and schedule constraints;
  • Strong organisational and time management skills;
  • Demonstrate an ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues across all business units.
