About our WA Infrastructure team 

This is an exciting chance to join our established WA Infrastructure team based in our Perth office as part of our wider Australasian Infrastructure business. We currently seeking a number of people to join our team across a variety of levels of experience as we continue to deliver impact in the WA market. This presents an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic engineers, designers and drafters to work across a wide range of city shaping projects for both public and private sector clients. In addition to local projects, you will be offered the opportunity to work on projects throughout Australia and internationally. 


We are currently involved in some of the highest profile transport projects within WA including Metro Rail, Smart Freeways, Highway Extensions, Iconic Bridges, Tunnels, etc. and are well positioned for continued success in the Infrastructure field. 


About you 

Our pipeline of projects and market positioning means that we are currently seeking candidates across a number of roles with a variety of levels of experience and career stage. The successful candidates will be great communicators, have fantastic interpersonal skills and enjoy working in an integrated team. They will have sound team working, time management, analytical and communication skills and will also have:


• Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering and Transport or similar;

• Between 3 and 10 years relevant industry experience in Transport Engineering or similar, ideally within a technical or consulting business environment;

• Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, standards and guidelines;

• Depending on your career stage, experience working closely with clients to deliver in alignment with key objectives;

• Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership; and

• Excellent understanding and passion for transport planning in WA and Australia. 


About the Roles 

The successful candidates will investigate and provide insightful advice on infrastructure engineering matters and will assist our team technically and in the management of our projects.

Collaboration is key at Arup and there will be daily interaction with other members of our team, other groups within the office and with clients and key collaborators to share knowledge as well as learn and develop.


Depending on career stage and experience to date there may also be the opportunity to drive the creation of new business as well as manage key projects to meet our client, people development and commercial objectives.
