About the team:

The Customer Strategy & Technology division is focused on creating the future of mobility in NSW, and shaping a world-leading transport system for our customers and communities.

Freight Branch is working to give freight a louder voice earlier by raising the profile of freight as a fundamental customer of the transport system to enable the safe, productive and sustainable movement of goods. We work in partnership across government and with industry to deliver improved freight outcomes for the people of NSW.

The Freight Policy and Regulatory Reform team leads a broad program of freight policy development and regulatory reform and will undertake research and provide industry expertise to support evidence-based policy decisions.

The Opportunity:

We are currently recruiting for a Policy Manager to join the Freight Policy and Regulatory Reform team.

For this position we support flexible working arrangements and the option to work from remote TfNSW offices.

About You:

You are a policy professional with solid experience working collaboratively, leading multiple policy projects and have the ability to manage agile teams to deliver results.

You will ultimately drive and manage policy initiatives, as well as influencing other areas of Government to achieve the strategic objectives of the Freight Branch. You will have exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build strong working relationships internally and externally.

What you will be involved in

We are looking for individuals who have the ability to lead and work collaboratively across the team, have exceptional written communication skills and an ability to influence across various internal and external stakeholder groups.

Significant experience in a policy role within government is essential. Relevant tertiary qualifications, an understanding of the freight transport policy and regulatory environment and experience in leading or mentoring teams would be desirable.

How to apply:

To apply for this position, please submit your resume and respond to the questions that are asked as part of the online application process.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is Grade 9 ($135,898 - $152,204) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
