ABOUT THE ROLE

Our growing Brisbane team is seeking a dynamic Civil Infrastructure Designer with extensive experience within the South East Queensland market. We are involved in a diverse range of projects including; subdivisions, authority infrastructure works, rail infrastructure, healthcare, Defence, master planning roles within all of the above sectors, as well as Technical Advisory roles to the State for iconic State projects.

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who can demonstrate a broad range of experience that can be utilised as a base to grow and develop from; and a proven track record of undertaking technical design work.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong focus on client service and the ability to connect with clients. Being a multi discipline firm, we are looking for someone that has strong communications skills and the ability to coordinate with other discipline personnel including structural, electrical, mechanical, acoustics and hydraulics.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • \tManage Client service expectations and commitments for your projects.
  • \tEngage with the Civil Section Leadership Group.
  • \tTechnical design and documentation.
  • \tContract administration and Superintendence where required
  • \tAuthority approval processes.
  • \tAdhere to professional standards, ethics and Stantec quality procedures
  • \tContribute to our Company culture
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • \t7+ years in a civil engineering consultancy within the QLD market.
  • \tExcellent written & verbal communication.
  • \tExcellent knowledge of South East QLD Local Water Authority & Sewer Code standards.
  • \tExcellent technical skills in:
o\tStormwater drainage modelling

o\tRoad design

o\tBulk earthworks

o\tMunicipal sewer and water design

o\tConstruction phase exposure.

  • \tProficient in AutoCAD, 12d (or Civil 3D), DRAINS.
  • \tPositive, can-do attitude
  • \tAbility to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
  • \tThe ability to use initiative and think outside the box
