Aurizon is offering an exciting opportunity for a Rail Track Infrastructure Worker to join the well-established Project Management division within our Technical Services and Planning team in Perth to support the exciting growth within our Bulk business. You will support the enterprise by performing on-track rail construction and maintenance work from Geraldton to Esperance and work with the latest tools and diverse materials such as timber, steel, and dual gauge assets.

About the role:

  • Perform on-track technical maintenance work e.g. timber/steel/concrete resleepering, rerailing, timber/concrete turnout construction, ballasting and tamping, and rail welding and grinding
  • Operate machinery unsupervised ensuring all aspects of work are carried out safely and efficiently
  • Assist tradespeople in mechanical repairs, electrical repairs, and maintenance as required
  • Undertake basic administration and recording duties
  • Develop and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Usually working a 10-4 roster

About you:

  • Heavy Rigid Truck Licence is mandatory
  • Certificate 2 in Rail Infrastructure is preferred
  • Other qualifications including a welding ticket are preferred
  • Ability to support and enhance the technical capability of the enterprise
  • Enjoyment working in small groups
  • High level of problem solving ability
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder management
