Transport for NSW is the lead agency of the NSW Transport cluster. Our role is to lead the development of a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities, centres and regions.

We are responsible for strategy, planning, policy, regulation, funding allocation and other non-service delivery functions for all modes of transport in NSW including road, rail, ferry, light rail, point to point, regional air, cycling and walking.
We focus on improving the customer experience and contract public and private operators to deliver customer-focused transport services on our behalf.

We also lead the procurement of transport infrastructure and oversee delivery through project delivery offices and industry delivery partners.

Our Change Management team are all about supporting people through changes in our organisation
The goal of change management is to:

* Engage employees and their Managers to ensure adoption of new solutions 
* Coach the business for successful embedment and employee use of the new solutions
* Understand and manage the impact of change on employees ultimately helping to reduce the disruption to business operations

The opportunity 

Right now, we have two fixed term opportunities for a Change Manager to join us in Strategy Portfolio Investment to facilitate in the delivery of the change management components of various projects of work that will have a positive, lasting impact across a variety of branches and divisions with Sydney Trains. 
Managing a group of projects that sit under a program, your role will assist with facilitating consistent change management activities, including assuring project change strategies and implementation plans are created and delivered and that they are consistent with the program change approach.

What you will be involved in 

* Developing and implementing a program change management strategy based on situational awareness of the details of the change and impacted groups, including identification of potential organisational risks 
* Facilitating and assurance of a set of actionable change management plans to support the needs of the program including communication plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan 
* Facilitating workshops to understand impacts and to provide awareness and engagement, helping to run training sessions from time to time
* Working with program and project leads to integrate change management with program management to ensure effective delivery of change in line with the emerging needs of the Program. 
* Provide active support to program and project teams, to integrate change management activities into the overarching program and project plans and schedules 
* Supporting change management capability uplift, raising business readiness and change maturity of the program 

About you 

You are tertiary qualified or have accreditation in change management (i.e. PROSCI) and have experience leading a significant change program of works in a matrix structured, customer focused environment.
Having previously worked in a matrix structured business you are accustomed to utilising your strong stakeholder engagement skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, and are comfortable managing difficult conversations when required.
You will also have proven change management experience in a highly industrial environment that has undergone transformational change.
