Transport for NSW is the lead agency of the NSW Transport cluster. Our role is to lead the development of a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities, centres and regions.

We are responsible for strategy, planning, policy, regulation, funding allocation and other non-service delivery functions for all modes of transport in NSW including road, rail, ferry, light rail, point to point, regional air, cycling and walking.
We focus on improving the customer experience and contract public and private operators to deliver customer-focused transport services on our behalf.

We also lead the procurement of transport infrastructure and oversee delivery through project delivery offices and industry delivery partners.

Our Change Management team are all about supporting people through changes in our organisation.
The goal of change management is to:

* Achieve the desired change with the maximum of positive benefits and efficiencies and a minimum of negative effects on all stakeholders.
* Support timely and effective implementation of business required changes.
* Improve overall adption of the new solutions.
* Reduce the impact of change on employees and reduce the disruption to business operations.

The opportunity

Right now, we have a 24 month fixed term opportunity for a Change Lead to join us in Strategy Portfolio Investment to lead in the delivery of the change management component of a specific program of work that will have a positive, lasting impact across a variety of branches and divisions with Sydney Trains.

What you will be involved in 

* Mentoring and inspiring direction of a team of Change Managers
* Developing and implementing a program change management strategy, identifying potential organisational risks and providing assurance of specific change plans to mitigate or address any concerns
* Work closely with program and change leads to integrate change management with program management
* Facilitate targetable change management plans to support the needs of the program including communication plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan
* Support change management capability uplift, raising business readiness and change maturity of the program

About you 

You are tertiary qualified or have accreditation in change management (i.e. PROSCI) and have experience leading a significant change program of works in a matrix structured, customer focused environment.
Having previously worked in a matrix structured business you are accustomed to utilising your strong stakeholder engagement skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders at various levels up to CE level, and are comfortable managing difficult conversations when required.
You will also have proven experience developing a program change management strategy in a highly industrial environment that has undergone transformational change, and strong team management skills.
