About the Role

Reporting through to the Maintenance Supervisors, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and support to One Rail's rollingstock fleet based at our facility in the Hunter Valley, NSW.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Rollingstock examination;
  • Field maintenance of Rollingstock including derailment recovery;
  • Servicing and repairs on Locomotives and Wagons;
  • Maintenance and repair ECP Brake Systems on all Rollingstock;
  • Driving/operation field service vehicles and mobile lifting equipment;
  • Scheduled servicing, unplanned maintenance and modifications to rollingstock;
  • Maintenance and repair of fixed plant and workshop equipment.

To be successful you must possess/have experience in:

  • Demonstrated experience in Heavy Industry; either Rail, Mining or Heavy Industry;
  • Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker;
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence;
  • Ability to work on a 24/7 roster;
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills;
  • Committed to safety with a high level of quality in output of work;
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Medium Rigid truck licence and High Risk Work Licence: Forklift, Hiab, Rigging, Dogging (desirable).
