About the team

Greater Sydney Finance & Commercial manage the finances, risks and performance for Greater Sydney. Greater Sydney Finance & Commercial works collaboratively across the client branches providing investment governance and assurance advice, strategic planning, performance analysis and financial management to ensure that all projects and services are delivered through an affordable and sustainable way.

The opportunity

Right now, we have two new permanent full time opportunities for Program Analysts to join the team and support document revision and the tracking of performance against organisational targets and the provision of reports and analysis to the Transport Agency executive. Reporting to the Senior Manager Program Analysis, these roles will be key in driving improved project and program performance and prioritisation across a complex portfolio. This is an exciting time to join Strategy Planning & Performance unit as we go through a period of growth and are supported to set the agenda for a newly established team, working off a clean slate.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

  • Provide specialist support and analysis regarding program and project performance
  • Engage with the business to build capability and understanding across Transport for NSW in project and program analysis and implement project and program reviews
  • Implement methodologies, systems, processes, and frameworks to review and evaluate the performance of infrastructure projects
  • Track organisational commitments against agreed targets to support critical decision making across the programs
  • Provide support by liaising with the Branch/Unit Managers to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of programs

About you

You have experience and skills in an analytical discipline, and an understanding of programs and financial analysis. Ideally, you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and have demonstrated experience in analysing mass data from financial and non-financial systems or a business intelligence tool to identify issues and insights on inflight capital programs.

As an expert influencer, you have superior stakeholder management skills coupled with experience in prioritising across a complex portfolio of interdependent programs and projects that are high risk. You will be a strong communicator as you will be working collaboratively with colleagues across the Division providing valued added solutions in an ever changing environment.

Salary and Benefits

This is a Transport Grade 6 role ($92,982 - $102,280) + Super and employer contributions
