About this role

Brunel have partnered with one of Australia’s leading EPCM delivery Service Partners to successfully recruit and place a suitably qualified Machines Electrical Supervisor for a 6 month contract position supporting our Clients site-based team on a 2/1 roster.

  • Field support to the Site Superintendent in managing the Construction Contractor during build of two Stackers and one Reclaimer and ensure technical compliance of the machines to the Specifications and Project standards
  • Stacker / reclaimers – rail mounted machine with braked motors, instrumentation, luff and slew drives, HV reeler, flexible cable installations, prefabricated electrical rooms and instrumentation
  • Ensure installation and testing of the instrumentation and software systems is correct to Australian standards, client specifications and project drawing
  • Oversee the completion, certification, testing and commissioning to AS 3000 and AS 7000
  • Tracking schedule progress, performance metrics and identifying continuous improvement opportunities
  • Supporting project control activities and supporting the change management system
  • Inspect and confirm rectification works comply with contract requirements to close out punchlist items

Requirements

Requirements

  • Previous experience of electrical constructability and commissioning of Stackers and Reclaimers (construction and commissioning) in a Site Electrical Supervisor capacity.
  • Previous RTIO site experience and familiarity with RTIO specifications
  • Experienced with Functional Safety Systems
  • Understanding of mechanical functionality and control system interfaces
  • CCMS experience (commissioning completion management system)
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong technical background and understanding of engineering processes
  • Understanding of interdisciplinary Interfaces, interfaces with Suppliers and Contractors
  • Iron Ore mining experience
  • Commitment to HSE management in a project environment
