Exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Commissioning Manager to join the Evolve Bayswater project. The new Bayswater Station project will become a key METRONET precinct with the Midland Line, Forrestfield-Airport Link and Morley-Ellenbrook Line connections, giving people the option to travel to the Airport, Swan Valley tourist region, the CBD and beyond.

This critical role will see you responsible for planning, preparing, and controlling all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities as well as the operational readiness activities leading to project completion, and the management of competency assessment for construction and commissioning personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all aspects of commissioning from concept to completion
  • Delivering complex project plans, inspections and test plans, commissioning plans / packages and ensuring they are completed on time, cost and quality, technical and safety standards
  • Liaising with Project Construction team, Interface and Design Managers and 3rd Party contractors on project specifications and schedule to establish a shared understanding of project scope, budget, success indicators, quality, environment, technical and safety standards
  • Testing and commissioning all systems and services to ensure specified standards are met
  • Manage risk assessments for commissioning activities
  • Review and report on commissioning progress and performance via the weekly / monthly progress reports
  • Provide effective leadership and direction to the commissioning team, whilst interfacing with other members of the Alliance and stakeholders

Desired Qualifications and Experience 

  • 10 years of Commissioning Management experience preferably on rail network
  • Bachelor or Engineering, Construction Management, Business or equivalent
  • Previous experience in the construction or mining industry on large infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of Rail Systems and legislation, standards, processes and practices in relation to testing, commissioning and operational readiness
  • Experience working on multi disciplines projects
  • Management of multidisciplinary projects and project teams
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering health, safety, quality, and environmental objectives
  • In-depth knowledge of systems assurance, engineering, and quality management knowledge to create a framework for stages operational readiness, satisfying client and asset owner
  • Able to manage and lead the commissioning team and sub-contactors
