Delivering cabling subsystem design as per contractual requirements and submission milestones

Your new role
The main responsibilities of System Engineer (Cabling), Delivering cabling subsystem design as per contractual requirements and submission milestones

  • Review relevant interface design of civil interface contractors
  • Requirements analysis and development of cabling subsystem specifications
  • Conducting trade-off studies to select and procure the right and compliant cables, containment (cable trays, conduits, etc,) and different cable accessories (termination boxes, glands, etc…)
  • Setup and maintain cables configuration baseline and manage changes, this includes Product breakdown structure and kitting
  • Prepare and maintain cabling and containment BOM//BOQ.
  • Prepare shop drawings for cable routings, cable installation, cable containment design in technical



What you'll need to succeed

  • Electrical/ Telecom relevant tertiary engineering
  • Must have a good knowledge in Communication and Control cables, including Copper & fibre structural network cabling systems, signal/control cables, audio cables, and LV power cables.
  • At least 5 years of design experience in cabling and containment at large infrastructure projects
  • Relevant experience within the Transportation/rail domain is desirable.
  • AutoCAD
  • Navisworks and BIM modelling
  • Microsoft Office Visio/Excel
  • DOORs is desirable
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimum supervision
  • experience of COM/Control system including cabling and containment at large infrastructure projects
