JOB DESCRIPTION

The UGL Rail Site at Bassendean are currently seeking an experienced Locomotive Technician – Mechanical OR Electrical to join the team. This will be a permanent full time opportunities working on a rotational shift basis, 3 week roster cycle working days and afternoon shifts.
About the Role
  • Servicing and maintenance of locomotives and other Rolling Stock
  • Removal and installation of large heavy components from Rolling Stock
About You
  • Heavy manufacturing experience, ideally previous experience within the rail industry.
  • Servicing of locomotives
  • Experience working on locomotives or rollingstock.
  • Experience and competent in the use of gantry cranes up to 50t
  • Previous experience within a large workshop or heavy maintenance environment.
  • Strong safety awareness
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
Desired but not essential
  • Relevant Trade Certificate
  • Bogie overhaul experience
