The Safety, Environment and Regulation (SER) division upholds safety and sustainability in our transport system. We are working to deliver globally-recognised, safe, sustainable transport for our people, customers and the community.


SER provides ‘centres of excellence’ with a critical mass of expertise to support line accountability, facilitate consistency and provide assurance across the cluster. It also delivers a range of regulatory programs.


The opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Camera Certification Officer who will work in the Compliance unit within the Regulatory Operations branch of SER. The Camera Certification Officer will undertake and support the delivery of certification programs and audits for enforcement systems.


This position will be based in Parramatta and is a fixed term full-time opportunity.

What you will be involved in:

?

  • Ensure enforcement sites meet their legislative requirements while maintaining accurate and comprehensive certification records to assist with court prosecutions through the facilitation, supervision and performance of certification/calibration testing.
  • Achieve branch business objectives through ensuring minimal downtime of camera systems. This is achieved through effective stakeholder management and the timely reporting of camera status which enable maintenance and repairs to be easily arranged.
  • Field testing and the maintenance of records relative to testing activities and system operations, ensuring compliance or legislative requirements and internal quality management systems.
  • Ensuring all staff and contractors are complying with WH&S requirements when on site through monitoring performance and reporting on appropriate near misses/incidents.

About You:


We are looking for someone who is an exceptional communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders as you are expected to supervise contractors on site. You are expected to be highly organised and experienced in administrating paper/electronic based records systems. This role may require you to work outside of normal hours or to travel occasionally.


You will be able to demonstrate having experience in performing precision field testing, certification and calibration of technical and electronical roadside equipment. You are expected to possess a strong skill level with traffic enforcement software/hardware systems and communications with the ability to troubleshoot over wide and local area networks. It is essential to have a current motor vehicle driver licence to be a successful applicant.

Salary and Benefits


The salary for this position is USS 7 ($92,928- $ 98,074) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
