About The Project

The John Holland CPB Contractors JV (JHCPB) has been successful in securing the contract to deliver the $3.9bn Rozelle Interchange and Western Harbour Tunnel Enabling Works project. The Rozelle Interchange is the final stage of WestConnex. It is a new underground motorway interchange which provides connectivity to the M4-M5 Link Tunnels and the City West Link, and an underground bypass of Victoria Road between Iron Cove Bridge and Anzac Bridge. The Rozelle Interchange also provides a connection to the future Western Harbour Tunnel.
Rozelle Interchange is being delivered by RMS under a Design and Construct Deed.

The Project Scope Includes The Following

  • An interchange at Rozelle and associated infrastructure providing connections from the Main Tunnel Works infrastructure to the surface road network at City West Link, Victoria Road, Iron Cove Bridge and Anzac Bridge
  • Provision for connections to the future Western Harbour Tunnel
  • Provision of up to ten hectares of new public open space located at the site of the dis-used Rozelle Rail Yards.
About The Role

We are seeking a Contracts Administrator to support the Mechanical and Electrical Commercial team.

The Role Will Incorporate a Variety Of Responsibilities, Including
  • Draft scope of work and prepare tender packages for various identified M&E packages.
  • Manage the tendering process review, including negotiation of prices and recommendation of award.
  • Ensure contracts are awarded within the required time frame and budget.
  • Maintain appropriate registers for managing the contracts.
  • Administer the awarded contracts by managing responses and correspondence of a financial or contractual nature.
  • Minimise variation claims and elimination of claims where possible.
  • Manage the packages under your control and report current position and any change to forecasted completion position.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports, maintain registers, and prepare forecast as required.
  • Participate in identification and quantification of Head Contracts variations.
  • Manage contracts to ensure that Code compliance is always maintained.
  • Assess commercial and contractual risks involved in delivery and implementation of projects and identify and implement controls.
  • Check compliance and prepare reporting on commercial performance of the contract.
  • Undertake general business administration.
  • Receive and process subcontract interim payment claims & final accounts in accordance with relevant legislation and contractual obligations.
To Be Considered You Will Have
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce or equivalent.
  • Relevant commercial administration experience in Construction in structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and piping related works, Quantity Surveying, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or associated disciplines.
  • Post graduate qualifications e.g., Graduate Diploma in Commerce, Accounting, Business, Construction, Quantity Surveying, Law, or other associated disciplines desirable.
  • A minimum 5 years' experience in a Contracts Administration or equivalent.
