The Division

The Greater Sydney Division integrates transport modes including trains, metro and buses; critical infrastructure and services to support Sydney’s growing metropolitan population, projected to swell to over 12 million within the next 40 years.

The opportunity

The role of Manager Evaluation leads the evaluation of rail timetable specifications and design, including rolling stock, infrastructure and signalling, and development of timetable plans to meet future passenger and freight demand.

What you will be involved in:

  • Evaluate plans to ensure all rail products provide a safe and reliable solution
  • Determine if rail timetable plans match demand with capacity
  • Test timetable, signalling, infrastructure and rolling stock options.


About You

You will have demonstrated experience in using technical systems and tools to evaluate timetabling decisions that ensure we can deliver great customer outcomes.

An understanding of the complexities of Sydney and NSW rail networks will be key to your success as you work on developing and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base on rail infrastructure, geography, demand and operational issues.

You are someone who is capable of operating with a high level of autonomy, capable of delivering key operational objectives.

Salary And Benefits

The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 9 ($135,898 - $152,204) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading..
