Transport for NSW is the lead agency of the NSW Transport cluster. Our role is to lead the development of a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities, centres and regions. We work with several government agencies to coordinate road, rail, bus and maritime services, always keeping the safety and comfort of our customers at the heart of what we do.

About The Team

The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division engages with our customers and communities. We connect regional NSW with safe and tailored transport choices, and contribute to strong economic growth and sustainability across the state.

The opportunity

Right now, we have an opportuniy for an Associate Community and Safety Partner to join the Community and Place Branch. This position is based in South region and lends support to the Riverina Murray precinct. Ideally you will be located within the precinct, Or within a reasonable distance due to travel expectations within the region.

As the Associate Community and Safety Partner, you will engage with NSW regional communities and stakeholders to champion their needs and achieve integrated community outcomes.

You will manage relationships with councils, community groups and other government partners to deliver safety and transport outcomes which suit those communities now and into the future, building and maintaining working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders across a large geographical area.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification or demonstrated experience working in a similar professional position. We are looking for a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to develop and maintain collaborate working relationships with councils, regional communities and various others.

You’ll have the ability to understand technical information, capture an audience, project manage, flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and great attention to detail. A familiarity operating in a government environment would make you ideally suited to the role.

You must have a valid driver’s license and capacity to routinely travel within the region

Salary And Benefits

The salary for this position is Transport Grade 7 ($103,0965 - $116,441) - per annum plus superannuation
