About the Opportunity

We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team long term in Kalgoorlie. The main focus and responsibility for this role will be the planning, scheduling and coordinating of maintenance across our fleet of approx. 21 trucks and trailer sets plus various auxiliary equipment (loaders/forklifts and reach stacker).

  • Location: Kalgoorlie
  • Roster: Flexible rosters to discuss with successful shortlisted applicants
  • Tool of trade vehicle supplied

  • Reporting to the Operations Superintendent

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing weekly maintenance schedules and allocation of work
  • Lead, supervise and training of maintenance staff
  • Ensure a safe working environment
  • Financial oversight for maintenance and repair budget
  • Maintain and administrate Mainpac system
  • Communicate effectively with drivers and plant operators
  • maintenance schedule and operating manuals/procedures
  • Identify and record deficiencies relating to products and services
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Ability to work safely in a regulated, demanding environment

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Mechanical Trade Certification
  • Experience working with Heavy Duty Diesel Equipment - Prime Movers
  • Experience in a heavy industry transport or mining environment
  • Strong background and experience in diagnostics
  • Experience leading and supervising a team of Mechanical Fitters
