Transport for NSW is the lead agency of the NSW Transport cluster. Our role is to lead the development of a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities, centres and regions.

We are responsible for strategy, planning, policy, regulation, funding allocation and other non-service delivery functions for all modes of transport in NSW including road, rail, ferry, light rail, point to point, regional air, cycling and walking.
We focus on improving the customer experience and contract public and private operators to deliver customer-focused transport services on our behalf.

We also lead the procurement of transport infrastructure and oversee delivery through project delivery offices and industry delivery partners.

The Division
The Regional and Outer Metropolitan (ROM) division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.

The Opportunity
Customer Service Experience & Planning (CSEP) is a branch within ROM and part of the Chief Customer Office (CCO), accountable for uplifting customer service standards and drive better outcomes for the service delivery functions. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director Strategic Activation, will provide strategic leadership, assurance and direction for the branch about proposed customer service outcomes year on year.
This team will need to optimise the customer service outcomes of Transport projects and services through integrated delivery coordination and activation plans aligned to customer service standards and outcomes. This will include the delivery of service delivery data, customer insights and performance management services, and enabling the branch to deliver customer service outcomes today and into the future. You will lead the development and delivery of significant category planning improvements through the Customer Strategy and Value Creation team within the CSEP branch and the governance and performance of selected service delivery contracts.

About you
In this newly created role you will utilize your strong stakeholder management, communication, commerciality and influencing skills, whilst demonstrating a proven track record in leading a team for the implementation of customer-centric strategic initiatives or programs to drive an uplift in service experience, satisfaction outcomes in a large and complex organisation. You will have the ability to articulate solutions at varying degrees of granularity to different audiences.
