Due to an internal promotion, we are currently seeking an enthusiastic Bid Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the bid process from end to end for rail signalling projects across Australia, including defining the operational strategy and preparing technical and cost requirements.

Key Responsibilities for This Role Include:

  • Work closely with the full tender team including sub-system managers to determine the best operational, commercial and technical strategy
  • Propose Project Industrial Organisation (PIO)
  • Gather Quality Cost Delivery (QCD) of all participating units supported by the wider Bid Team
  • Identify, analyse and register the risks and opportunities
  • Liaise and coordinate with Legal, Commercial, Finance, Engineering, Quality, HSE and other internal teams to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Identify, analyse and produce a risk and opportunities matrix.

Qualifications, Skills and experience Required Includes:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical/Electronics/Computer Systems/Mechanical preferred)
  • Previous experience working in a rail systems environment (Signalling, Communications, Control Systems or similar)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders at all levels internally and externally
  • Previous exposure to delivering bids in a complex, dynamic and changing environment
  • Experience putting work package estimates together.
