Job description: About the Role:
Reporting into the SHEQ Manager, Delron are seeking to engage an experienced SHEQ Advisor to provide strong leadership in promoting a positive and generative approach to the health and safety, environment and quality functions across the organisation. 
The role also encourages you to use your technical capability to drive the development, implementation and continual improvement of the integrated contract management system (ICMS) to meet legal, contractual and other business requirements and improve business practices.
To perform your duties as the SHEQ Advisor, this role will be based in our head office in East Perth, with regular field-based visits required to our various site locations. Whilst our sites are predominantly based within WA, occasional travel to other states also forms part of this role.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in facilities management cleaning within high-risk environments, experience with HACCP food safety management being a distinct advantage.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Managing the implementation of Safety Management Plans across multiple project locations
* Ensuring compliance with legislations, regulations and standards and that all activities on the project are undertaken in a safe manner, and with the application of suitable frameworks and documentation 
* Undertake, or lead, investigations in relation to safety related incidents or issues and provide recommendations through the contract leadership team. Engaging with Ventia SHEQ were appropriate. 
* Implementing processes to ensure communication and compliance with all SHEQ policies and procedures including fostering a culture of ‘safety and health above all else’ 
* Overseeing employee rehabilitation, including Return to Work planning
* Ensuring risk assessments and risk registers are developed and maintained and all records are managed in accordance with Company requirements 
* Ensuring that the Ventia “Critical Risk Protocols” are embedded in the projects through the Leaders.
* Promoting the participation of all people in achieving a safe workplace with zero impact on the environment,
* Developing and delivering safety related training when required including new starter induction, toolbox talks and prestart meetings
* Ensure the audit schedule is maintained and completion of the targets are monitored

To be successful, you will have the following:
* Tertiary Qualification in Workplace/Occupation Health and Safety, Environmental or Quality Equivalent
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a safety professional within an industrial safety environment
* Formal training in incident investigation
* Sound knowledge of SHEQ legislation, regulatory requirements and ISO standards
* Management Systems and Lead Auditor Qualifications
* Manual C class Driver’s license
