Currently we have an exciting opportunity in Brisbane for a Signalling Project Engineer on the iconic Cross River Rail Project. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the technical aspects of the project delivery including the integration of project activities to ensure the completion of projects on time, within budget and to the required quality. 

Some of the key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Plan, forecast, resource and manage project delivery schedules and budgets
  • Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; forecasting and assigning resources to phases and elements; engaging and managing sub-contractors where required
  • Control project costs by approving expenditures and administering contracts
  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends then recommending actions
  • Manage materials and logistics requirements to achieve project delivery with a focus on cost effective solutions
  • Manage interdisciplinary works coordination and interfaces
  • Ensure compliance with Legislation applicable to the work group and its activities including Electrical Safety, Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental Management

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have the following:

  • Bachelor of Engineering
  • Project Management Qualifications
  • Minimum five years experience in rail project delivery environment
  • Prior experience managing engineering disciplines and sub-contractors
  • Ability to manage all aspects of project delivery
