Transport for NSW is the lead agency of the NSW Transport cluster. Our role is to lead the development of a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities, centres and regions.

We are responsible for strategy, planning, policy, regulation, funding allocation and other non-service delivery functions for all modes of transport in NSW including road, rail, ferry, light rail, point to point, regional air, cycling and walking.
We focus on improving the customer experience and contract public and private operators to deliver customer-focused transport services on our behalf.

We also lead the procurement of transport infrastructure and oversee delivery through project delivery offices and industry delivery partners.
Job description:
The opportunity
The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division of Transport for NSW is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.

Right now, we have a permanent full time opportunity for a Bitumen Sprayer Driver to join our Western Sealing Crew based in Dubbo NSW. Our crews support the delivery of a range of projects consisting of both maintenance and project works such as re-sealing, final sealing, and initial sealing across the region.

You’ll be required to operate plant or machinery to a high level of skill and be able to achieve predetermined tolerances or standards. You will often assist in controlling and directing critical aspects of our projects relating to the spraying of bitumen.

About you
You have great knowledge and hands-on experience of bitumen sealing work techniques as well as experience monitoring operations and providing direction to other staff involved. You’re versatile, proactive and used to working in teams and camping away from home, and are ready to give 100%.

We’re seeking an excellent communicator who is highly organised in work practises and is passionate about creating and maintaining safe work environments.

You will be required to hold a valid HC license, White Card, Dangerous Goods licence and live closely to the headquarters.

You must be willing to work outside of normal hours including to attend emergency call outs, travel extensively and stay away from home / camp away as needed.

Wage and Benefits
The wage for this position is $ 1,346.17 (gross) per week, plus super and allowances.
