We are responsible for strategy, planning, policy, regulation, funding allocation and other non-service delivery functions for all modes of transport in NSW including road, rail, ferry, light rail, point to point, regional air, cycling and walking.
We focus on improving the customer experience and contract public and private operators to deliver customer-focused transport services on our behalf.

We also lead the procurement of transport infrastructure and oversee delivery through project delivery offices and industry delivery partners.
Job description:
The Opportunity
The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division of Transport for NSW is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.
Our Western Sealing crew supports the delivery of a range of projects consisting of both maintenance and project works such as re-sealing, and initial sealing across the district.
 Right now, we have a fixed, full term (up to Jan 2023) opportunity for a Truck Driver (Semi Trailer) to join our Western Sealing Team in Dubbo.

You’ll be expected to competently operate Heavy Combination vehicles and other plant items as needed. In addition to this, you will:
* Operate small plant, powered and non-powered hand tools
* Independently resolve routine problems that arise during the course of work
* Spread stone by reverse driving for bitumen sealing works (operation of cockerel / spreader box)

In addition to the position’s primary duties the Truck Driver (Semi Trailer) also performs any of the duties of a Road Worker as and when required.

About you
You must have a good track record driving trucks safely, operating cockerel spreader boxes, tipping and reverse driving all while maintaining a safe and inclusive work space with your crew. You must hold a WhiteCard and a valid HC license.

Experience in Bitumen sealing activities will be highly regarded as well as a Workers of Foot certificate (but not essential to be considered).

You can easily resolve routine problems with minimal supervision and communicate clearly with members of public, clients, and team members.

You must be willing to work outside of normal hours including to attend emergency call outs, travel extensively and camp away from home as needed.

Wage and Benefits
The wage for this position is Truck Driver (Semi Trailer) $1,315.79 (gross) per week, plus super and allowances.
