North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) consists of three Alliance partners - John Holland, KBR and MTM and the client (LXRP), working together as one team to achieve shared goals.

NWPA has a proven track record with the successful delivery of four level crossing removal projects, several premium stations and three projects currently in delivery phase.

We are currently looking for an experienced Health & Safety Administrator to join us, supporting all projects across the Alliance.

About the Role

Whilst you’ll be initially based on the North Western Program Alliance, this is a long-term career opportunity within John Holland.

As a Health & Safety Administrator, your role will be to support both the site team and project management team, by providing administrative expertise and ensuring general site safety is adhered to.

Responsibilities of the role include;
Act as the single point of contact for all administrative elements of the HSE team.
Where required, interface with the Sustainability team for the purpose of status reporting against Alliance requirements.
Assist with workers compensation and return to work administrative requirements.
Maintain the agenda and minutes for HSE team meetings.
Complete quality checks on incident data (that has been inputted into the incident database) with respect to accuracy and timeliness.
Run regular reports on the status of action items assigned from investigations and leading activities.
Participate in site HSE walks and assist with coordinating and arranging site walks with relevant stakeholders (e.g. LXRP, MTW and JH).
Work with other service provider stakeholders (such as Human Resources, Learning & Development, Training and Social Procurement) to improve systems interface with HSE.
Positively participate in Health and Safety Committees. Build and maintain strong working relationships with Health and Safety Representatives (HSR).
Development of fit-for-purpose Health & Safety processes and systems
Ensuring inductions are complete, tickets/license are valid
Managing RIW platform
Ensuring general site safety is adhered to
Supporting the Health & Safety Manager
To be successful in this key role, you will have;
More than 3 years’ experience as a Health & Safety Administrator or in a similar administrative support role
Experience in Construction, Rail or Infrastructure preferred but not essential
Proficient written and verbal communication skills
Personable and able to influence stakeholders
Passion and commitment for Health & Safety
