Lead Planner - Rail

Randstad has partnered with a Victorian state government rail organisation in their search for a Lead Planner.

Key Responsibilities include:
Lead a small team of planning & scheduling specialists
Develop, prepare and coordinate the RRR, and other projects schedules and plans to meet the needs of the strategy and program.
Ability to identify and develop WBS and activities through technical scope of works, utilise planning and scheduling techniques such as CPM, Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, time chainage, cost and resource loading and levelling, risk analysis, etc to develop achievable and reliable project programs.
Track and update plans and schedules and use project performance measurement techniques including earned value management to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas
Closely monitor shut downs and projects through execution and delivery of works and providing status updates to key stakeholders.
Prepare progress reports and analysis with particular attention to schedule, cost and resource status and potential overruns.

The successful candidate will have:
Tertiary qualification in engineering.
Demonstrated experience and skills in project planning, scheduling and progress reporting preferably in the rail environment.
At least 10+ years experience working on project planning and control (essential).
Advanced in Primavera P6
Advanced skills in Microsoft excel
