WHSE Manager – Wetherill Park

We highly regard management of health, safety, and the environment as an integral and fundamentally important part of our business.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to join and support our Wetherill Park manufacturing site as the Workplace Health, Safety and Environment Manager.

What does the role involve?...

  • Developing and Implementing safety strategies for the business in line with the broader CSR objectives
  • Facilitate effective communications across the business via Huddles, toolbox meetings and leadership meetings
  • Ensuring safety standards are effectively communicated to stakeholders
  • Review legislative changes and make appropriate recommendations and changes to support implementation
  • Manage risk register for business including appropriate actions for mitigation and reduction
  • Coaching managers on risk assessments and JSAs
  • Champion hazard identification and implementing appropriate controls with managers
  • Manage Industrial Hygiene and dangerous goods processes
  • Facilitate Incidents management and emergency response processes

What would make you a good fit for the role?...

  • Experience in a similar role in a high risk, heavy industry background (mining, manufacturing, construction, rail etc)
  • Formal qualifications in Safety or relevant discipline
  • Proven working knowledge of WHSE systems and auditing experience
  • Familiarity with WHS legislation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle competing priorities
  • Strong leadership to manage safety across multiple sites and engage key stakeholders at all levels
