JOB DESCRIPTION

About the role

As part of a dynamic and results-driven team you will play a key role in driving, implementing and embedding diversity and inclusion for marginalised communities to affect change and shift the dial in the rail industry. The role is full of variety, however your key focus points will be:

  • Supporting the team as they implement the full life cycle of change and awareness programs
  • Assisting with the delivery of a calendar of key diversity and inclusion events and initiatives
  • Establishing innovative ways to further build advocacy for inclusion & diversity across industry
  • General administrative support for the team

This is a 9 month fixed term opportunity. We encourage all genders, cultures and any marginalised folks to apply!

About you

You are passionate about seeing great change in the diversity space and driven to raise awareness of inclusive talent pipelining through tailored programs, events, and initiatives.

You might be currently working in a similar role within the diversity and inclusion space, or perhaps you volunteer for organisations that run events for those cohorts? Or something different to this that you feel is relevant; either way having some exposure to the communities we are aiming to help would be greatly beneficial – whether that's lived experience or exposure through your job/volunteering work.

It's also important you have high emotional intelligence, and that you're able to communicate effectively with people from all backgrounds – this will be a key part of your role in helping us establish networks. You will have a strong sense of purpose in helping the project deliver on transforming the way Victorians live, work and travel.
