The Workplace Branch is focused on creating a more consistent workplace experience across the cluster, further enabling collaboration, and consolidating our property footprint in line with NSW Government accommodation guidelines along with enabling flexibility and choice across the portfolio.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Design Coordinator to join the Workplace Branch for a 12 month Fixed-Term contract based in Macquarie Park. The branch is made up of five work streams including Strategy, Real Estate, Workplace Accommodation, Project Delivery and Change and Integration. 

In this role you will be responsible for project coordination and support of workplace design projects in line with established objectives. The role contributes to the development and delivery of a range of commercial fit out projects as well as ongoing workplace design analysis in a dynamic and fast paced environment. 

  • Provide a range of workplace accommodation and design support services, including preparation of floor plans on AutoCAD and use of PowerPoint, Photoshop and illustrator for user presentations and costings.
  • Prepare reports and briefs, maintain project information and furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) schedules using excel.
  • Coordinate information from external consultants, vendors and furniture suppliers and assist with Project Management and Facilities Management teams.
  • Provide coordination and administrative support for the procurement of furniture and equipment.

About You

We are looking for someone who can work collaboratively with different teams both internally and externally and has a pragmatic and positive approach. You will have exceptional communication skills with an ability to understand what the “user” needs and help transform this into design solutions that lead to positive workplace experiences. 

You will have tertiary qualifications in Design or Architecture and recent relevant experience in commercial workplace fit-out design and will be proficient in AUTOCAD. It would be highly advantegous to have advanced skills in excel.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is Grade 7 ($103,965 - $116,441) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
