Project Engineer - Fitout

Our client, a major construction company is looking to hire a Project Engineer to join their team in Melbourne. The company is looking to add to its high calibre workforce to safely and efficiently deliver rail systems.

 You will be required to 

• Maintain and update the team’s construction schedule and manage site subcontractors to complete projects, also update cost control systems, budgets, forecast and costs,
• Evaluating and implementing processes, margin and quality improvements,
• Efficient management of commercial and contractual activities on the project.
• Provide systems safety assurance services to the project in accordance with processes and procedures,
• Proactively collaborate and liaise with other disciplines of the project team and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have

• Qualification in construction management or trade qualification,
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the building industry,
• Experience with fitout / refurbishment projects, also procurement / contracts administration, planning and programming,
• High level Design Management, Stakeholder/ Client Management and Contractor Management experience,
• Have a strong commercial acumen
