ICT Project Manager

Global Rail Australia is a leading provider of services to clients in the telecommunications industry. We provide a range of services including design, project management and construction. We specialise in the installation, commissioning and testing of critical infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced ICT Project Manager for full time and ongoing role who specialises in ICT development management with a minimum of 5- 10 years’ experience in a similar role. Also, with a solid background in mobile wireless installations and Greenfield construction builds, to work on a variety of telecommunications projects across Victoria.

The ICT project manager will organise, direct, coordinate and have end to end management of ICT projects. You will be able to direct teams comprising of Technicians, Designers, Developers and Back-office support staff to solve problems and execute projects within tight timeframes and budgets.

Responsibilities Include

Manage works on all ICT projects including new green field sites and upgrades to existing telecommunications sites

Formulating and directing information and communication technology (ICT) strategies, policies and plans

Client liaison and stakeholder management

Preparing and managing detailed work schedules and forecasts

Ensuring project milestones are achieved in line with the project timescales

Management and coordination of project teams and subcontractors

Responsible for the preparation of budgets, estimates and quotations

Ensuring that projects are executed in line with budgets and forecasts

Ensure that issues are identified and escalated appropriately, assist in the identification of appropriate corrective actions

Ensure that project documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner

Ensure project performance is monitored, tracked and reported

Creating ITC strategies, policies and plans and ensuring they alien with our QSE systems in place.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Thorough understanding of IT and Telecommunications

A Bachelor’s degree and 2 years relevant experience or 5 years relevant work experience

Demonstrated success in small to large scale projects

Excellent I dusted knowledge in ICT

Project Management Qualification

Project Management Experience on Telecommunications Projects

Solid understanding of mobile wireless installations.

Strong customer focus

Demonstrated knowledge of safe working practices

The ability to review design and construction options with team members, designers and construction personnel

Experience in performing site surveys and audits

Excellent communications skills both written and verbal

Experience with Telstra, Optus and VHA installations standards (Preferable)

RAN, IBC, DAS, Small Cell and Microwave Transmission experience (Preferable)

Experience in the management of multiple projects and project teams

A valid and current drivers licence
