About the Role

The Recruitment Advisor is accountable for effectively partnering with Suburban Rail Loop Authority (SRLA) stakeholders to deliver end to end recruitment support activities, ensuring a great candidate experience and effective talent solutions for SRLA. This role requires strong stakeholder consultation, management of delivery timelines and high volume recruitment. You will be a highly experienced recruitment professional who holds up-to-date and credible information regarding talent attraction and best practice recruitment methodologies.

You will manage merit-based selection processes ensuring we attract and appoint candidates with the most appropriate skills, knowledge, experience and behaviours who uphold the Victorian Public Sector values, for every role at SRLA.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Undertake end to end recruitment activities including sourcing, shortlisting, interviewing, background checking and offer management.
  2. Continuously build and maintain positive relationships with peers, senior managers and internal / external stakeholders, and provide advice on non-complex recruitment issues and practices in consideration to the legislative and industrial framework.
  3. Use subject matter expertise to educate the organisation on recruitment processes, best practice recruitment methodologies and legislative compliance.
  4. Oversee the pre-employment and background checking process.
  5. Provide regular recruitment reporting to key stakeholders.
  6. Completion of other required tasks as directed by the Team Leader, Recruitment and Manager, People and Performance.
  7. Participate in and contribute to other strategic recruitment initiatives and projects.

What you will need

To be successful in obtaining this role you will need to be a subject matter expertise in recruitment, with demonstrated experience in partnering with internal and external stakeholders to deliver consistent and quality recruitment services and facilitate positive recruitment outcomes. Candidates with previous experience working in the VPS and use of the Springboard platform will be a primary focus.

There are up to 4 roles available at the VPS4 level.
