The Role

A fixed term opportunity has opened within the Transperth System, Regional and School Bus Services Division of the PTA in the position of GIS Officer. The responsibilities as the GIS Officer include performing data capture, maintenance, analysis, extraction and compilation to ensure the timely delivery of a range of geospatial data and mapping products and services. This position also creates, edits and maintains geographic and textual information within a GIS environment in support of the PTA’s transport mapping and route measurement processes.

To be considered for this position you will need:

  • Experience in the use of ESRI ArcGIS and database software products;
  • A good understanding of geospatial data capture, processing, manipulation and map production;
  • Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills in developing and performing methods of special analysis.

This is a part time, fixed term appointment of twelve months with a possibility of extension to 24 March 2023, working 32 hours per fortnight, Thursday and Friday of each week.
