JOB DESCRIPTION

Cross River Rail (CRR) is one of the largest transport projects in Queensland, it will set the foundation for a world-class, integrated public transport system in SEQ that will transform Queensland Rail and the way we operate. Our Program Governance team coordinates and lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Governance Framework supporting the CRR delivery teams in successfully achieving the project objectives. We are seeking a Principal Program Delivery and Performance Adviser to join our team for an 8 month fixed term opportunity with likely extension.

The Principal Program Delivery and Performance Adviser is responsible for providing specialist Program Governance advice to support better decision making across our delivery teams. A key focus for this role will be to foster relationships at every level of the organization to capture and manage lessons learnt and monitor program performance. As the Principal Program Delivery and Performance Adviser you will work across a wide range of stakeholders; you will need to be able to communicate with influence and build strong relationships with a diverse group of people. To be successful in this role you will need to be agile and adaptable in your approach, prior experience working in a PMO or on a Mega Project will be advantageous.

You will be required to assist delivery teams in the development and review of submissions to internal and external governance forums as well as Board and Executive papers.

Some of the key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Prepare and provide specialised advice in project and program management for the development and delivery of program Governance and performance management frameworks
  • Identify and recommend strategies and plans required to close gaps and capitalise upon opportunities to align Queensland Rail's strategy and vision with the delivery of programs.
  • Maintain processes to ensure program management documentation, policy and procedures, plans and lessons learnt are relevant, accurate, complete and accessible.
  • Develop and support Major Projects Integration teams with the implementation of a performance management system
  • Foster program governance knowledge capability through the provision of effective advice, guidance, coaching and support on program governance and performance management frameworks, systems, processes and communication, including involvement in relevant Community of Practices.
  • Work with Program Directors and their teams to develop and lead the implementation of the performance management and the lesson learnt management framework.

This is an initial 8 month fixed term, full time position, based in Brisbane CBD. The salary for this role is approximately $123,0000.00 + Superannuation + Free rail travel to and from work.
