Train Crewing

Train Crewing is the custodian for the customers’ on-board journey experience and play a key role in providing safe and reliable train services. We are also responsible for ensuring we have professional and qualified Train Drivers and Train Guards who deliver effective, diligent and continuously improving service.

The primary purpose of the Crew Enablement function is to support and enable the Branch to improve, comply with requirements and drive positive service delivery and support.

There’s never been a more pivotal time to join Sydney Trains, where you’ll work on exciting technology implementation programs and assist in building foundations that will lead direction and strategy for the next ten years.

Please note this is a 12 month, temporary full-time position.

The opportunity

To lead and drive Transformation programs that directly contribute to the organisations overall strategic objectives with a focus on people. The Program Manager, Transformation is responsible for leading the development of transformation solutions that are fit for purpose, working in partnership with the relevant stakeholders to implement and ensure adoption.

In this role you’ll work closely with all areas of Train Crewing, including our frontline crew. This is a hands on role spending your time building confidence and trust from our people to ensure the success of the programs you are working across.

Taking a human centre approach from inception to implementation is essential. Involving the right people at the right time, bridging the gap between ‘the business’ and our ‘people’ ensuring their voices are heard. Continuing to evolve the approach to make sure each and every person understands and feels apart of the transformation journey.

About You

You are passionate about transformation and driven by the chanllenges ahead. You think out side the box and you’re not affaird to do things differently.

You’re a people person, You are able to build strong, lasting relationships to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. You can relate to what they need, simplify and providing clarity to ensure they feel supported and apart of the transformation journey. You can negotiate with the best and have the confidence to facilate large groups while pivoting on the fly as needed.

Experience working on transformation projects or programs in an operational and highly unionised environment, ideally within the transportation or government sector is a nice to have.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have comensurate demonstrated relevant experience.
