JOB DESCRIPTION

Accountabilities include:

• Negotiate, monitor and review TransLink contractual documentation for passenger rail services in Queensland. Ensure consistency in the development, implementation and review of contracts and engage with Legal teams and other third-party entities on contractual matters as required.

• Assist in developing and maintaining TransLink's framework for monitoring and measuring the performance of rail services to optimise value for money and Customer Service outcomes on behalf of the State.

• Assist in the monitoring, control and delivery of business improvement initiatives, particularly those associated with the governance framework for rail contracts.

• Providing strategic advice regarding the TransLink Division's rail contracts to ensure Government's interests are advocated for and protected in the planning, delivery and management of rail transport outcomes.

• Working as a key departmental contact for rail contract enquiries, facilitating a range of business and project activities which support and enhance the delivery of the department's rail contracts.

• Preparing documents, reports and correspondence on behalf of the Minister, Director-General, General Manager and Executive Director including Cabinet Submissions, briefing notes, financial reports and business cases under direction from the Manager and Director.

• Identifying, examining and analysing complex information and issues and actively participating in identifying potential solutions with regard to rail contracts.

• Building and sustaining positive relationships with team members and key stakeholders and being responsive to changes in stakeholder needs and expectations.

• Reviewing and analysing performance reports and data, providing strategic advice to senior officers, ensuring compliance with contracts.
