The Opportunity

Currently we have a rare and unique opportunity for a collaborative Safety Manager for NSW Trainlink that sits within the ROM division (Regional and Outer Metropolitan) of Transport for NSW,

to have a key focus on leading a team of Safety Professionals and an Environment Professional to ensure effective running of the safety, environment, quality and risk (SEQR) services and provide support and guidance to the business to drive recognition and implementation of safety and environment accountabilities under the NSW TrainLink SMS.

About You

With a high level of pragmatism, you are a passionate safety and risk management professional ideally from a high risk operational environment. As a big picture person, you are a strategic operator who understands operational mindsets with a demonstrated experience in operational environments leading safety/environment functions in large and complex multi-disciplinary commercial and/or customer service organisations. You will have qualifications and experience equivalent to Diploma in Safety and sound knowledge and understanding of safety and environment related legislations. Knowledge of Rail Safety National Law would be an advantage. As a manager, you will be empowered to make decisions that have a meaningful impact.
