Civil Operator - Rail

Work location - Residential in Port Hedland

Roster - 4 days/3 off

To operate mobile equipment at maximum efficiency, while maintaining safety, environmental and heritage standards, to achieve required performance objectives for the Civil Maintenance Team and operational targets for the business.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Demonstrate behaviour that aligns with FMG values.
  • Comply with Zero Harm principles on a daily basis
  • Ensure compliance to skills training matrix for yourself
  • Complete BMS hazards and actions as required
  • Ability to engage with other departments within the business to deliver key objectives
  • Apply and obtain correct permits for work

Qualifications and skills required:
  • WA Class HR Driver's Licence
  • Relevant mobile equipment certification
  • Demonstrated experience with earthmoving equipment
  • Previous experience operating 14ft graders - 2 years minimum
  • Ability to skillfully operate a variety of machines
  • The ability to perform manual labouring tasks
  • Able to work remotely in small teams
  • Communication/ interpersonal skills - two-way operation
  • Basic computer skills
  • Time management and planning skills
