JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a dynamic, proactive leader with extensive experience in effectively managing stakeholders, community partners and project communications. To be successful in this role, you will thrive in a complex and sometimes intense environment, be fantastic at networking and willing to work with a diverse and complex range of stakeholders. You will need to have well-developed leadership skills, an eye for detail and an ability to remain calm under pressure juggling multiple deliverables and tight deadlines.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Corporate and Government affairs, the Manager Stakeholder and Community Partners will play a key role in positioning Queensland Rail as a modern, world-class and customer-focused rail service.

In this role you will Lead and effectively manage the Stakeholder Relations and Community Partnerships team to develop and facilitate implementation of a stakeholder management framework and philosophy across Queensland Rail that enables the Board, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Leadership Team to have visibility of the political environment and such considerations for strategic decision making. You will also be responsible for the management of project communications and community stakeholder engagement through track closures and upgrades, potential relocation of rollingstock and station upgrades and other works that may impact the broader community.

  • High level of conceptual thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills and implementing process improvement in a complex business environment.
  • High level of skill to develop a stimulating work environment that motivates employees to align with the future vision of the Queensland Rail business and collectively work to achieve desired results.

The position is based in Brisbane CBD and the salary will be commensurate with the preferred candidates experience and suitability.
