About the Role Cruise Whitsundays has a new opportunity available within the team as Stores & Procurement Officer on a full time basis. Reporting to the Guest Experience Manager, the Stores & Procurement Officer role is primarily responsible for the development, implementation and day-to-day management of Cruise Whitsundays purchasing and procurement functions ensuring current and future business needs are delivered in a strategic and cost-effective approach. Key responsibilities include, but not limited to; * Provide inventory for various outlets of the business (Vessels, Pontoon, Office, Workshop, Cafe) in a timely and cost-effective manner; * Assist the daily purchasing activities and inventory control, prepare cost estimates and budgets; * Maintain purchase orders with high accuracy and match to incoming stock ensuring stock integrity; * Assist with cost effectiveness and optimization projects; * Ensure compliance, quality standards and specifications are consistently met and continued systems improvements undertaken to improve productivity; * Undertake transporting of inventory; and * Conduct general Stores and cleaning duties as required. About You The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled team leader with a demonstrated positive "can-do" attitude, extensive experience in a similar role and ability to effectively manage a team. Requirements * Highly self-motivated, persistent and resilient; * Hold relevant qualifications or experience related to a Logistics/Supply Chain Management position; * Ability to build strong relationships with others and suppliers; * High attention to detail with accurate data entry skills; * Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to effectively negotiate; * Advanced computer skills with solid literacy in Microsoft Office Suites such as Excel; * Analytical thinker with sound ability to problem solve using calculated logic; * Strong interpersonal skills and impeccable personal integrity; * Must hold an Open Drivers License and a Forklift License is highly desirable.
