Job Description & Summary

Job Description

Would you like to play a part in some of Australia’s biggest and most important projects? PwC’s Infrastructure Assurance team is looking for people to join our fast growing team and provide independent assurance and advice on major infrastructure projects.

What will you create?

You’ll help Australia’s private and public sectors meet the demand for infrastructure development and to establish and then maintain major infrastructure to deliver successful outcomes. From the health sector to road, rail, schools and ports, together we build trust in society and solve important problems.

We bring this to life by helping clients to protect and strengthen every aspect of their projects; from design and initiation to contracting, construction and through to commissioning. Every day brings something new and every client presents our team with diverse challenges. Use your training and expertise to help our clients navigate this exciting space.

As an infrastructure project assurance specialist your impact will be seen by:

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to project sponsors, program directors and executives in relation to programs of work and transformation activity
  • Helping our clients gain confidence that their projects, programs and portfolios are aligned to their strategic outcomes, are on track and deliver the required quality of output
  • Creating new business opportunities, and leading discussions/building relationships with senior level stakeholders
  • Supporting the broader assurance team in identifying and managing clients risks
  • Coaching and mentoring junior colleagues and building internal relationships

About you

You have a background in infrastructure project/program management or similar and are skilled in proactively identifying project risks and hold an understanding of project management

methodologies and feel comfortable being part of Program and Portfolio reviews.

Due to the nature of the work, you must be an Australian citizen and eligible to obtain an Australian Government issued clearance.

Passionate about being at the forefront of change, you’re ready to be part of our Infrastructure Assurance team helping organisations de-risk leading infrastructure projects.

You’re collaborative and enjoy working in an innovative environment. You’re a problem solver by nature and want to join a firm that values the kind of people who reimagine the possible for their clients and stakeholders. Most importantly, you act with integrity and show care for the people you work with.

Life at PwC

Our culture and benefits are something we’re proud of, and also the reason we’ve been named LinkedIn’s #1 Australian workplace. With PwC, you’ll belong to an inclusive community where differences are both embraced and the underlying driver in everything we create together.

We empower you with the technology, coaching, flexibility and trust needed to make a meaningful difference, while supporting you in bringing your whole self to work each day. We’re committed to building and maintaining a diverse workforce because we know it’s only by working together that we can realise the potential of our people, clients and society around us.

We’re living this commitment through initiatives including our Reconciliation Action Plan to increase Indigenous employment and employee-led diversity networks promoting cultural, disability, LGBTI and gender equality. At our core we’re a people business, which means you’ll be supported not just in your professional development but your personal growth as well.
