Rail Projects Victoria, Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (RPV), is the Victorian Government body responsible for the delivery of the Metro Tunnel Project, Regional Rail Revival, Melbourne Airport Rail, and the Western Rail Plan including fast rail between key regional cities and Melbourne. RPV, MTIA is responsible for all aspects of the projects including planning and development of the project reference design, site investigations, stakeholder engagement, planning approvals and procurement, through to construction delivery and project commissioning. Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA) comprises of Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), Rail Projects Victoria (RPV, MTIA), North East Link Project (NELP), West Gate Tunnel Project (WGTP) and Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV).

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Project Director, RRR (South West), the Design Interface Manager will be responsible for client-side management of the design, engineering, assurance and completions activities associated with Regional Rail Revival, South West Projects. The role will call on prior experience in major rail projects across multiple disciplines such as track and civil, signalling, structures and stations. The role will be responsible for managing a team of technical advisors to develop requirements and reference designs, provide expert technical advice and guidance across a range of engineering and design issues, as well as managing internal RPV stakeholders and delivery contractors to prepare design solutions or resolve engineering issues. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships whilst integrating, coordinating and managing various inputs, expectations and requirements from a range of stakeholder organisations such as Rail Operators, Department of Transport, VicTrack, local Councils and private industry is fundamental to the successful performance of this role.
