Due to growth and ongoing delivery success with one of our major clients, Turner & Townsend's Infrastructure division in Brisbane requires an experienced Schedule Lead to join the team and work on a high profile, secured infrastructure project.

Reporting to the Program Controls Manager, this position will lead the overall planning function for this project, whilst also playing a key role in overseeing the day to day management of this already strong and high performing team.

Job Description

  • Establish and ensure application of appropriate Strategies, Standards and Procedures for Schedule Management, whilst proactively working with the business to encourage project management leading practice.
  • Establish and embed an approach to Possession Management, Testing & Commissioning and Critical Resource Management within in the P6 environment.
  • Partner with counterparts across other project controls functions to lead a collaborative process to the delivery of the project and its management processes.
  • Accountable for the development of schedules, activity planning and associated logic capable of delivering the project objectives.
  • Responsible for the competency of staff within the Planning Function.
  • Leads and ensures the effective assessment of all changes and accurate representation of approved changes within the baseline.
  • Oversees and provides timely and focused reporting to key stakeholders and project governance, including planning metrics and KPI’s

  • Substantial experience (15+ years) in managing and motivating Planning teams on major infrastructure projects and programs – this will need to include 5 years in a rail environment.
  • Demonstrable success in delivery of major projects as Lead Planner throughout the project lifecycle to commissioning and handover.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent training in engineering procurement construction delivery
  • Proven people manager and team leader with excellent communications skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Good commercial and financial awareness including good experience of commercial contracting.
