About the role

We are seeking a motivated and very experienced casual Cruise Attendant to join our team at Journey Beyond Cruises, Darwin. This is a casual position for the duration of the Top End Dry Season (March through to Mid-December 2021) with training commencing in April 2021.

This role is primarily responsible for creating memorable guest experiences through exceptional customer service delivery and vessel operations, including but not limited to; greeting and assisting guests, delivery of food and beverage services, vessel and passenger safety, vessel presentation and safety briefings. This role will suit someone with strong on-vessel experience, flexibility around shift times, a passion for the area and a great attitude to customer service.

About You

The ideal candidate will be motivated with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences. You will be a team player with a demonstrated positive "can-do" attitude, be comfortable working on water, have previous F&B experience and ability to deliver professional customer service.


  • Have a minimum of 1-years' experience in a similar role with fine dining experience highly regarded
  • Hold relevant qualifications including RSA, First Aid/CPR with a minimum ESS attainment also highly regarded
  • Have the necessary working entitlements to work in Australia, with a minimum 6-month commitment
  • Be highly self-motivated, with great energy - A real multi-tasker!
  • Have exceptional teamwork and leadership skills, with a great eye for detail
  • Demonstrate excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills, with impeccable personal integrity
  • Have proven ability to work autonomously and part of a team
  • Have solid computer / POS systems skills
  • Be able to work flexible hours which may include weekends, public holidays and extended hours
