Job Description

Established in 2002 Coleman Rail has a long standing reputation as the leading rail and infrastructure contractor in Australia. Providing construction services for major rail and transport infrastructure projects Australia-wide, in 2017 Coleman Rail become part of the ACCIONA group of companies.

The new Bayswater Station project will become a key METRONET precinct with the Midland Line, Forrestfield-Airport Link and Morley-Ellenbrook Line connections, giving people the option to travel to the Airport, Swan Valley tourist region, the CBD and beyond.

Reporting to the Project Alliance Manager the Communications and Community Relations Advisor will play an important part in ensuring the community is well informed and engaged on the impacts of the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project communications materials including but not limited to preparing community communications and engagement sub plans to ensure the community is kept informed
  • Proactively represent the Community Relations team in the community and at public functions
  • Proactively engage with the community
  • Draft and produce community notifications, communications collateral and campaign material
  • Provides analysis on engagement activities and interactions with the community
  • Prepare media and social media plans to promote project milestones and prepare content for media releases and social media posts
  • Supervise photographic and video shoots
  • Regular door knocks to traders to notify of works, and identify issues
  • Track and ensure close out of all trader complaints

Required Skills And Competencies
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant related discipline
  • At least two years’ professional experience in stakeholder management, customer or community liaison and communications in a relevant similar role
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Experience managing a diverse range of stakeholders across a range of interest groups
  • Current Driver Licence.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
