The role will be instrumental in collaborating with commercial, project management, engineering and design technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver and operate a range of projects.

The purpose of this role is to fill key positions on major NSW based multi-disciplinary road and rail design projects with a heavy structural component and drive technical delivery of the designs. In your role as Principal Bridge Engineer your technical skills in transport structures will be of key importance. You will exercise sound judgement and initiative while undertaking both your project responsibilities and design tasks.

Here’s What You’ll Need

Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and local client standards
Extensive experience in bridge and/or heavy civil structure design
Experience in different design phases and/or contract types
Sound knowledge of scoping and pricing for small, medium and large projects
Meet work expectations in project delivery and client feedback Contribution to Inclusion and Diversity initiatives for your section
Maintain an appropriate quality standard for all documentation
Verification/Review forms
Lead and lag indicators of safety performance
Lead and promote business growth in key sectors
