We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Material Planning Manager to join our Sydney Metro North West project team. In this role, you will work closely with the Maintenance Project Team to clarify maintenance planning and the impacts on the materials scheduled.

This is a “hands-on” role which will require you to build upon relationships across existing vendors, as well as internally within the project and work hand in hand with various departments to accurately and reliably ensure a supply of materials.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure coordination with the Maintenance Project Team to clarify maintenance planning and impacts on material schedule
  • Maintenance of safety stock levels to ensure appropriate service levels are maintained
  • Working closely with planning, procurement and logistics teams to ensure materials are delivered to the right location, in the right condition at the right time
  • Ensuring the Material Requirements Planning Parameter is set up in coordination with Local Operations Team and maintenance schedule
  • Monitor the safety stock levels for materials in consultation with the Procurement Team and the Supply Chain Manager
  • Continuously review and manage the process improvement and drive efficiency
To be successful it would be desirable to have:
  • Extensive experience in Material Planning, ideally from Rail, Construction or Project industry
  • Proven track record in managing the material duties in an SAP MRP environment across a multi-site business
  • Experience in SAP and advanced level in excel skills
  • Proven track record in SAP reporting, including MRP
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and be capable of communicating with all levels in the organization
  • Excellent time management skills and interpersonal skills
